Sustainability is an important industry issue, and NBAA has been at the forefront of promoting the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) derived, in part, from renewable feed stocks. And while SAF reduces emissions and is currently available, there are others looking at ways to completely eliminate direct emissions from aircraft through the use of alternative energy sources, including aircraft powered by hydrogen fuel cells and electric aircraft.
