Podcast: GA Groups Secure Year-End Accommodation on FAA Registry

Dec. 13, 2021

Following appeals from NBAA, GAMA and other stakeholders, the FAA Registry will remain open in a limited capacity on Friday, Dec. 31 to help process last-minute transactions in what has been a very robust year for business aircraft sales. “The best advice is to try to move your transaction earlier so you’re not pushing up against the 30th and 31st,” advises NBAA’s Scott O’Brien. “But the FAA will remain open full hours on the 30th [and be able to] receive document filings on the 31st, if necessary.”

In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:
  • Jens Hennig, vice president, operations, General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA)
  • Scott McCreary, aviation group lead, McAfee & Taft
  • Scott O’Brien, senior director, public policy and advocacy, NBAA
