On Jan. 2, pilots Robin Wenger and Matt Niederhäuser took off from Zurich, Switzerland on a round-the-world flight in a Diamond DA50 to highlight the various ways the aviation industry is working to minimize its environmental footprint, including through the use of sustainable aviation fuel. “What I’ve found on this earthrounding [trip] that’s really great,” says Niederhäuser, “is as soon as you stop at an airport … you always have people around that are super-interested in making aviation sustainable.”
