Hackathons Spur Innovation, New Ideas

Hackathons have been around since the 1990s, having started in the technology sector in Silicon Valley, but since that time have popped up in companies and organizations of all types interested in encouraging creative, out-of-the-box thinking and new ideas. NBAA has held hackathons for two years, and the 2018 version led to the creation of the successful unmanned aircraft systems/urban air mobility zone at this year’s convention.
