As competition for qualified personnel from other aviation industry segments looks to remain strong in 2024, employers continue to review and reconsider their approaches to hiring so they can bring new business aviation professionals into their companies. As one example, “Having a type rating was a strong requirement in the past, [but] not so much now,” notes Clint Cannaday of In-Flight Crew Connections. “A lot of the clients that we deal with are discussing the possibility of even lowering time requirements.”
In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:
- Clint Cannaday, operations and safety analyst for In-Flight Crew Connections
- Elaine Lapotosky, vice-president of staffing for Jet Aviation
- Sam Scanlon, founding member of JSFirm.com
The NBAA Flight Plan podcast, which ran from 2009 to 2025, provided an overview of important developments affecting NBAA members, and the association’s work to advocate for their interest. The archive of past episodes will remain available for your enjoyment. Please note that no new episodes will be released.
