Business aircraft wouldn’t get off the ground were it not for the schedulers and dispatchers who coordinate flights, dispatch aircraft and assist flight crews in handling unexpected challenges during trips. Three recipients of NBAA’s Schedulers & Dispatchers Outstanding Achievement & Leadership Award discuss what traits schedulers need to be leaders. “You need to have an understanding of the people you work with, what they do and what they need,” says 2022 award recipient Francea Bolden. “You also need to have integrity. People have to trust you. And we have to be effective communicators.”
In this episode of NBAA’s “Flight Plan,” host Rob Finfrock speaks with:
- Francea Bolden, aviation schedule and dispatch manager, Enterprise Holdings and 2022 NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Outstanding Achievement & Leadership Award recipient
- Kellie Rittenhouse, CAM, director of aviation for Hangar Aviation Management and the 2019 award recipient
- Lisa Swartzwelder, director of shuttle operations and flight administration, L Brands Service Company and the 2018 award recipient
