The Aircraft Maintenance PDP Objective focuses on management issues related to maintenance operations, regulatory requirements, cabin information systems and parts inventories.
The following NBAA Professional Development Program (PDP) objectives were adopted July 1, 2024.
AF1: Manage a system of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for maintenance operations
- Manage aviation department maintenance SOPs
- Develop procedures to identify and manage risk for specific job tasks c. Audit procedures for relevance and compliance
AF2: Manage aircraft maintenance in accordance with regulations and manufacturer’s specifications
- Comply with applicable regulatory requirements and documents
- Determine appropriate airworthiness program
- Comply with manufacturer’s specifications and standard practices d. Manage technical data
- Identify components of a tool control program
AF3: Maintain cabin information systems
- Manage expectations of stakeholders
- Identify relevant regulations, security protocols, and guidelines
- Manage the training on the operational capabilities of the equipment and aircraft limitations
AF4: Maintain availability of spares and supplies
- Maintain inventory levels and control procedures
- Manage contract aircraft/engine maintenance and parts programs
- Maintain applicable aircraft maintenance documents and records
- Employ methods for shipping, receiving, and storage of materials within regulations and guidelines
