The Michigan Business Aviation Association and Western Michigan Business Aviation Association have been working together for more than 30 years to reach students and pique their interest in the industry. Beth Lerew was the first to receive an NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Scholarship. Like many of the recipients who followed in her footsteps, she used the award to move firmly toward achieving her professional goals.

“Scholarships are the best way to advance your progression in the industry,” said Brad Smith, who used his 2016 Lawrence Ginocchio Aviation Scholarship to fund training on a Cessna 340 and Cessna 421C. “Hard work is what gets you to the point where you want to go, but scholarships help you get to that point sooner.”
