The FAA has released a Special Air Traffic Procedures NOTAM, which outlines the requirements associated with flight operations in and out of the Minneapolis area between April 5-9, 2019, for the NCAA Men’s Final Four Basketball Tournament. Required routes for both arrivals and departures will be in place. These routes can be found in the airport-specific procedures NOTAMs. If demand exceeds capacity at any time during the week, ATC traffic management initiatives are possible.

FAA Letter to Airmen for Final Four 2019

Due to the high volume of air traffic anticipated during the 2019 Final Four activities, a ramp reservation is required for arrivals and departures, including drop-and-gos to and from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan area airports between Friday, April 5, 2019, at 1100 UTC and Wednesday, April 11, 2019, 0100 UTC.
